This may affect their children’s well-being and development, thereby placing them behind the starting line in life’s race.
Early Childhood Education
Children who do not go through early childhood education may face a 25% decrease in average adult earning potential.
The Lancet, 2016Early childhood education is important because it consists of not just education but also interaction. Having early interactions and experiences an help a child to have a strong foundation in life. However, due to different family circumstances, some children may require more care and support. Initiatives under Youth Corps Singapore such as KidsCount and KidsFun Holiday Programme provide opportunities to the children to further develop themselves by gaining skills and meaningful interaction.
